We are looking for a Barista to join our team!!

The Lazy Goose is a family run coffee house located in the middle of Eastington village, near Stonehouse and Stroud, serving artisan coffee and hot drinks, and a delicous range of fresh pastries, cakes and sourdough toasties. We are looking to hire an individual who is passionate about good coffee and has barista experience and competent latte art! It is vital that excellent customer experience is provided to all who visit us, particularly as our reputation and popularity grows within the village and the surrounding areas.

Our ideal candidate will have previous barista experience, will be reliable, punctual and ideally willing to work every weekend. They will also be hardworking and able to work under pressure during busy periods of the day. As you will be expected to confidently take on all roles within the day to day running of the coffee house, you'll need to be willing to learn on the job, have a can do attitude and be flexible where needed.

Typical duties will include taking customer orders in a polite and timely manner from a dedicated till point, preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, as well as bakes for eat in and takeaway customers. You will be expected to maintain organisation, cleanliness and general coffee shop standards of tidiness whilst working in a frequently busy environment. In addition to this you will be confident opening and closing up for the day and of course you'll enjoy chatting with our customers in a friendly working environment.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members

Due to our location, having your own transport is essential as public transport is unreliable, particularly for the weekend shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00 per hour
