Role Overview

We are looking for a friendly and reliable

Barista & Front Desk Assistant

. The primary responsibility is as a

barista

for The Matcha Lab, preparing and serving matcha drinks with care and consistency. You will also support the

front desk of Big City Dog

, handling the till, welcoming customers, and redirecting them to the grooming team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Barista Duties (primary focus):

Prepare and serve a variety of matcha drinks and other beverages to a high standard. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station and cafe area. Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Front Desk / Retail Duties:

Operate the till for both The Matcha Lab and Big City Dog transactions. Greet and assist customers on arrival. Redirect grooming clients to the grooming team and ensure smooth handovers. Support with retail sales, stock checks, and maintaining a tidy shop floor.
Requirements

Previous barista or cafe experience preferred (but training will be provided). Strong customer service and communication skills. Friendly, approachable, and able to multitask in a busy environment. Comfortable around dogs (a must for working at Big City Dog). Reliable and punctual, with good attention to detail.
Hours & Pay

25-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
