We are seeking a full time Barista to join our energetic and vibrant team in our recently opened independent cafe in Horsley. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for amazing coffee and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to our high standards Provide friendly and attentive customer service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Handle customer orders and payments accurately using the till/point-of-sale system Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Perform basic maths calculations for order processing and till operations. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance the overall customer experience.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista - essential. Previous customer facing experience - essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Knowledge of food preparation - sandwiches/ baking is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management. A friendly and welcoming personality with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
