Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. We are a Cafe/Gallery in the heart of a local community in Cessnock. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will help foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food items are prepared according to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours. Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is advantageous but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-14.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
