Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team at Tinderbox. Princes Square. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and food safety will ensure that our customers enjoy a delightful experience every time they visit.

This role is for weekends - overtime is possible once successful completion of training

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to health regulations. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for order totals. Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage repeat visits.

Experience

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
