Barista

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Provide friendly and attentive service, addressing customer questions or concerns promptly. Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as light snack assembly or packaging.

Requirements

Previous

Barista experience

is essential. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and best practices in handling food and beverages. Experience in

serving

customers with professionalism and courtesy. Basic

maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong

time management

abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required.
