Y Shed is looking for Baristas to join our team! We are a small coffee shop in Gowerton that serves delicious coffee, tea, and smoothies. We have a great team of people who are passionate about serving great food and service to our customers.
Position Summary:
Baristas are responsible for providing an exceptional experience to all guests. They will be responsible for setting up the counter, maintaining a clean counter, and opening the morning shift. They will be responsible for all aspects of the coffee bar, including but not limited to replenishing supplies, cleaning the bar area, restocking inventory, and maintaining the bar area with accessories. They will be responsible for opening and closing the bar area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that all items are stocked and available for use throughout the day Cleaning and sanitizing countertops and surfaces (including glass) Maintaining a clean counter Opening and closing the morning shift Maintaining a high level of customer service Closing the bar area (including cleaning equipment)
Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members as well as customers Must be able to work quickly under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude Must be able to follow instructions clearly and accurately Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk for extended periods of time in a confined space (e.g., store shelves)
