Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, hard working

Barista

to join our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant setting, engaging with diverse customers while honing your skills in food and beverage preparation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly. Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently. Follow food safety standards and health regulations at all times. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Requirements

Previous experience as a

Barista

or in a similar customer service role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and procedures is desirable. Experience in

serving

customers and handling cash transactions is preferred. Basic

maths

skills for handling payments accurately. Good

time management

skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour. Strong communication skills with a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
