We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in our vibrant cafe - Tea and The Gang NI.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every customer has an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing outstanding service to our guests.
Working 2-4 days per week, including both weekdays and weekends.
Applicants must be 17+ as weekday availability is required
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards during service.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
Uphold all food handling practices in compliance with health regulations.
Engage in sales activities by promoting menu items and upselling products when appropriate.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Experience in food service or the food industry is an advantage.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; familiarity with retail math is beneficial.
Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.

Full training provided to successful applicants

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
