Job Overview

As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your passion for coffee and customer service will contribute to an exceptional experience for our patrons. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the cafe, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies. Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are presented attractively and meet quality standards. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining spaces to comply with food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations. Operate the cash register, handling transactions efficiently and accurately. Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Skills

Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management. Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to team dynamics is essential for success in this role.

Pay: 12.50-13.48 per hour
