Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of a cafe. Previous experience is preferred, additional training will be provided to help you succeed in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional customer service Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to in food preparation and handling Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper food storage and hygiene practices

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is advantageous but not essential Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards customers Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands Organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
