Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and process payments securely. Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers. Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, lids, and utensils. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required. Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and optimise customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous experience as a

Barista

or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and procedures is desirable. Ability to serve customers politely while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong

time management

skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours. Good organisational skills to keep the workspace clean and well-stocked throughout shifts. A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required; however, the role primarily involves daytime shifts in a welcoming environment. Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
