Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be motivated to deliver excellent customer service and create extremely high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in speciality coffee while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience.

The role requires someone with the ability to dial in different coffees daily, has a keen eye for detail, is customer service driven, but feels they want more from their current Barista role. Responsibilities



Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Handle customer orders efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas. Manage cash register transactions accurately using POS systems. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling pastries or light snacks when required. Uphold high standards of customer service by engaging with customers positively and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

Qualifications / Experience



Previous experience as a

Barista

is necessary; training will be provided for the right candidate. Working on La Marzocco coffee machines, and operating with Malkonig grinders is preffered. Experience dealing with multiple coffees from different roasters and dialling in new recipes daily based on flavour is preffered - please provide evidence of this in application. Running multiple coffees on bar each day is a part of everyday practice, and so experience handling a busy multi coffee set up is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable. Experience in serving customers in a busy environment is advantageous. Basic food preparation skills are beneficial. Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner. Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
