Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organised workspace will contribute significantly to the overall experience of our patrons.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering assistance as needed. Handle transactions efficiently and accurately while adhering to basic maths principles. Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking supplies as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Demonstrate time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a barista or customer service role is essential. Basic maths skills for handling transactions. Strong time management abilities to ensure timely service during busy periods. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and adherence to food safety regulations. A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
