The Foxes Den is a lively, fast-paced restaurant in Newtownards, offering a warm, modern atmosphere with a diverse menu focused on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Our customers come for the great food and drink, but stay for the friendly, welcoming vibe. We're looking for a passionate, customer-focused Barista to join our team and enhance the coffee experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other beverages with precision and efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and personalised approach. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and barista area, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and well-maintained. Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and ensuring the cafe environment is inviting for guests. Work alongside the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Handle cash and card transactions accurately and keep records of sales. Upsell products where appropriate and keep customers informed of any specials or new offerings. Ensure consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and quality. Adhere to health, safety, and food handling guidelines at all times.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar fast-paced customer service role is preferred. A genuine passion for coffee and a keen interest in learning more about coffee-making. Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure. Excellent communication and customer service skills. A positive, team-oriented attitude and a strong work ethic. Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and operating the till. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings as required. High standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
