Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant award winning team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer has an exceptional experience, from the moment they walk in until they leave with their order.

You must be able to demonstrate at interview an ability to produce great tasting coffee with expertly steamed milk.

Ideally you should be able to hand pour and be able to create basic latte art.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are fresh and meet our quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations. Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently while ensuring basic maths skills are applied for accurate change. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive working environment and support each other in daily tasks.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
