Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also ensuring that our cafe maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including equipment and utensils Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and efficiently Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with customers Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
