The Nest is a small independent coffee shop in Royston. We are looking for an experienced barista 18+ to join our team. The position is part time and will require working 2 days a week

Monday 8-4.30

Friday 8-5

Previous experience is essential

Please note some days may require you to work alone

Duties:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries, cooking toasted sandwiches
- Ensure that all drink orders are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Provide product recommendations and answer customer inquiries

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is a plus

We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our team as a Barista. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, taking customer orders, operating the cash register, and providing excellent customer service. If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have strong customer service skills, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and some lifting or carrying of supplies. The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is also required.
