As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will help us deliver an exceptional experience to every guest.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, adhering to food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate processing of payments. Help train new staff members in barista skills and customer service techniques as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders efficiently. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. A genuine passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and team members alike.
