Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be working alongside other Staff members to ensure the smooth operations of our small cafe. We are predominately takeaway but have a small area for seating for customers who decide to stay in.

Days required will be from Monday - Sunday, note this may change from time to time so weekend availability is a must. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality coffee ensuring that extraction times and dosages are met even throughout busy periods.

We are seeking an individual that is adaptable and isn't fixed to one specific role that enjoys taking on any new opportunities that may arise.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to health regulations. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations when needed. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction. Monthly Stocktake's. General Cleaning duties.

Experience

Previous experience in a Specialty Cafe is a plus but not essential. Knowledge with how to dial in coffee and extract it to its full potential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices. Experience managing a small cafe or similar. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues alike.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.85 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 35 per week
