Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will help enhance the overall experience for our patrons.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while following proper food handling procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth operation and assist where needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is preferred but not essential. Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions and making change. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Ability to prepare food items safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week

Work Location: In person
