We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure that every guest leaves with a smile.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Assist with food preparation, adhering to food safety standards to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. Engage with customers, taking their orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including equipment, utensils, and seating arrangements. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while following basic maths principles for change calculation. Collaborate with team members to create a supportive environment that promotes teamwork and helps each other succeed.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours. A friendly disposition with the ability to engage positively with customers and provide assistance as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.
