Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a new cafe serving coffee, matcha, acai bowls and so much more! Previous barista experience is essential. A strong focus on food safety, time management, and customer satisfaction is also essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service. Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Assist in opening or closing procedures as required, including cleaning and stock checks.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a

Barista is essential

. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and practices. Experience with

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment. Basic

food preparation

skills for handling ingredients and assembling beverages. Good

time management

skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed. Pay: 12.43-14.43 per hour
