Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering queries, and ensuring guests feel welcome. Manage cash register operations accurately using basic maths skills for transactions. Ensure timely service during busy periods by managing multiple orders efficiently through effective time management. Restock supplies as needed to ensure the cafe remains fully equipped throughout shifts. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the establishment.

Qualifications

Previous

barista experience

is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates. Knowledge of

food safety

regulations and best practices in food handling is desirable. Experience in

serving

customers with professionalism and friendliness. Basic

maths

skills for processing payments accurately. Strong

time management

abilities to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising service quality. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. A positive attitude with a genuine interest in hospitality and customer satisfaction.
