Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and other drinks but also ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the workspace. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to hygiene practices during food preparation and serving. Operate coffee machines and equipment efficiently while ensuring they are kept clean and well-maintained. Assist with food preparation as required, including pastries and light snacks. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Keep the cafe area tidy and organised, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment as needed.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately. Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well within a team. This role is part time and mainly Thursday and Friday with occasional Saturdays and holiday cover.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
