Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team in the Yurt Cafe. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. Your ability to multitask and maintain high standards of service will contribute to an exceptional customer experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee,and tea with precision and care. Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are fresh, appealing, and meet food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic maths skills for accurate billing. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a harmonious working environment that prioritises customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is preferred. Excellent time management skills to handle peak service times efficiently. A genuine desire to help others and provide outstanding customer service. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
