As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about the menu. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including the preparation area, seating areas, and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders. Time management skills to efficiently juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is an advantage. A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn more about different brewing methods and products.
