Our mother ship specialty coffee shop is the Lotus Cafe in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, which is dedicated to serving high-quality, ethically sourced coffee and providing an exceptional experience for our customers. We are bringing this care and passion to a horsebox coffee trailer at Blenheim Palace this summer, which is where this job is based.
Working hours will likely be 10-4 for a minimum of two days a week, beginning July.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, a commitment to quality, and a desire to create a friendly atmosphere for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages, engaging with customers, and contributing to a positive community vibe.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing recommendations and sharing knowledge about our coffee offerings.
Foster a sense of community by creating connections with customers and teammates
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow during busy periods.
Uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation in all beverages and food items.
Stay informed about coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product offerings to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Barista is necessary.
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso preparation, and latte art.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about specialty coffee.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A sense of humour.
