Overview

Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital is seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. We are opening up a coffee stand next door to our charity shop and we're looking for 1-2 people to join our team. The hours are 6 hours a day from 8:30-14:30. As this is a new venture, the hours maybe subject to slight change. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and tea but also ensuring that our customers have an enjoyable experience in our cafe.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to hygiene regulations. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Skills

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to create quality beverages. Strong knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a safe working environment. Proficient in serving techniques and customer interaction to enhance the overall experience. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. A keen eye for detail to ensure all beverages are prepared to the highest standards. Join us in delivering exceptional service and delicious beverages that keep our customers coming back for more! An in-date food hygiene certificate is desirable.

Pay: 12.21-12.31 per hour
