Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers by preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment while ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations. Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both customers and staff. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers and colleagues. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
