Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve ensuring that all food safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring freshness and quality. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Manage time effectively to fulfil orders promptly without compromising quality.

Skills

Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure the health and safety of customers. Proficient in serving techniques and customer engagement to enhance the overall experience. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
