Overview

We're looking for a passionate and welcoming Barista/All Rounder to join our acai cafe--an inviting, thoughtfully designed space created with women at the heart of every detail, nestled inside our Lagree fitness studio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in coffee and food preparation. We're a fitness studio so interest in Lagree (fitness method) isn't necessary, but preferable. We do provide free classes and discounts as a perk. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Duties

A strong proficiency in barista work for coffee and tea (soon matcha). We currently have a

SLAYER STEAM SINGLE ESPRESSO

machine. (If you've read this, please write "SLAYER" in the first questions box.) A genuine interest in gluten-free, vegan, and health-conscious living, with an awareness of nontoxic, low-waste, and plastic-free practices. Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring quality and freshness. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and responding to customer enquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, equipment and facilities. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards at all times. Assist with catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food and beverages to guests. (These events will only happen a few times per year.) Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience as a barista is essential. You will be tested in the interview. Knowledge and Understanding of food safety practices is necessary. Experience in bartending or catering is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
