Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, hard working, organised and dedicated Barista to join our team in the next month. The ideal candidate will have a love for, and some knowledge of, coffee, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and experience for our customers. You will also be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and foods, ensuring that each drink and plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages and foods according to standard recipes. To work alone very effectively on a Victoria Arduino two head espresso machine making consistent tasty coffee and also managing a wider drinks offer Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace and bar, including equipment and utensils. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines. Handle customer inquiries and provide assistance with menu selections. Operate cash registers and manage transactions accurately. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all food handling processes. Engage with the team, by being involved with all sides of the service offering and support needs.

Skills

A friendly disposition with the ability to help customers feel welcome and valued. Proficient in basic maths for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Strong time management skills to efficiently juggle multiple tasks during peak hours. Experience in basic food preparation is an advantage, with knowledge of food safety practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.

How do you get the job?

Do your homework, know who and what we are about and where we are. You will be given a trial shift and you will need to show us how good you are. At the trial shift, be courteous and kind, be fed so you come with plenty of energy, and arrive early so you can orientate yourself.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.60-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
