We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/ Receptionist to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be the face of our establishment, creating a welcoming environment for our customers and ensuring their experience is enjoyable.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring adherence to food safety standards
Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet quality standards
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences
Warmly greet members and check them in for reformer classes and private sessions.
Manage class bookings, appointment scheduling, cancellations, and payments (using our booking system).
Respond promptly to email, phone, and in-person inquiries with professional accuracy
Assist with membership renewals, upselling of packages, and cafe/retail offerings with friendly, consultative service
Maintain member records and note preferences for personalised service
Qualifications
Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential
Strong understanding of food safety practices
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating totals
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills
