We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that every customer enjoys an exceptional experience. You must be comfortable working alone on occasion.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during peak hours. We also operate as a bar and taproom, so some experience of bar work is desirable but not essential

Skills

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to craft high-quality beverages. Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Proficiency in serving techniques and food preparation methods. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders efficiently. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A friendly disposition with strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.
