Job Description

The Crib Community Coffee House is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person to join our team for All Rounder/Barista. Our emphasis is on a friendly and welcoming culture while presenting a professional quality food service in a modern coffee house environment, making our regulars feel known & special, as well as turning first time customers into regulars. The successful candidate will be a great team player as well as being self motivated.

Your primary role will include:

Greeting customers Responding to orders, questions, concerns, and any complaints in a polite and efficient manner Till work and cash handling Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented and tasty beverages. Waiting on tables Maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment. End of shift set down, cleaning and restocking Observing relevant health and safety standards Undertake general assistant duties, as and when required (ie waiter/waitress, kitchen porter)

Additionally a strong candidate would embody the following:

Be warm, friendly and professional Have good communication and teamwork skills Have time management skills to work efficiently during rushes. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings, make recommendations based on customer preference, and ability to up sell other items. Strong standards for cleanliness and hygiene. Additional skills of assisting in the kitchen for food prep when required. Have commitment & passion to deliver the highest standards of customer service. Be aware of and follow operational policies and procedures. Comply with all health regulations and quality control procedures

Previous experience and a Food Hygiene Certificate would be desirable but not primarily essential. Barista training will be provided.

From 7.55- 12.21 per hour - dependant on experience/age.

Standard Shift Pattern:

Saturday 9.30pm - 4.30pm

Opportunities to develop additional hours/holiday cover all year round including during term time.

Coffee House Opening times:

9am-4pm - Wed, Thurs, Fri
10am-4pm - Saturdays
