Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in food preparation and safety, along with your ability to manage time effectively, will contribute to the overall success of our cafe.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food items are prepared according to health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Uphold the cafe's standards for quality and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with customers effectively. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
