We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to deliver exceptional service and maintain a clean, organised workspace will contribute significantly to our cafe's success.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared in accordance with food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including equipment and utensils. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the cafe. Participate in food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to hygiene regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices is required. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management. A friendly disposition with a passion for helping others and providing excellent customer service. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 28 per week
