We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista/Bartender

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe during busy periods. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and customer engagement within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Also evening wine bar in the evenings. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other light snacks in accordance with health and safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering queries, and offering product recommendations with a friendly attitude. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, equipment, and seating areas to ensure a hygienic environment at all times. Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food items. Manage cash register operations accurately using basic maths skills for transactions. Assist in stock replenishment and inventory checks to ensure availability of products throughout shifts. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality or safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a

Barista/Bartender

or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of

food safety

standards is desirable to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous. Basic

food preparation

skills are beneficial for handling light snacks and ingredients. Strong

time management

skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours. Good

basic maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to create positive customer interactions. Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour
