Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista/ Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making coffee as well as mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender/Barista and Server you will be responsible for making coffees, crafting drinks, serving customers, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your ability to engage with patrons and create a welcoming atmosphere will be key to your success in this role.

Duties

Prepare coffees to a high standard with latte art Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Serve and wait on customers, taking orders, payments etc Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible serving practices. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring that all items are presented attractively. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service for all customers. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, applying basic maths skills for till operations. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering any questions about the menu or drinks available. Monitor customer behaviour to ensure a safe drinking environment and intervene when necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role essential. Previous experience as a Barista is essential Strong knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and drink measurements. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour. A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to learn about new drink recipes and techniques. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
