We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista/Cafe Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of food & drink safety and hygiene. Duties

Assist in all aspects of cafe service, including food & drink preparation and production, ensuring all items are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining and food preparation spaces. Adhere to food safety regulations and practices, including HACCP guidelines, to ensure the highest quality of food & drink are served. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating basic mechanical knowledge when necessary. Perform basic mathematical calculations for portioning ingredients and managing stock levels. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and a positive working environment.

Qualifications

Proven previous experience in similar role, with 1+ year's experience Knowledge of food & drink safety practices, including HACCP principles. Basic mechanical knowledge to operate kitchen equipment effectively. Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and stock management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality service in a busy cafe setting.
