Overview

Refresh Cafe is a thriving, bustling cafe situated in the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park, Guildford. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Batista/Cafe Assistant (over 18 years of age) to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe. This position involves a variety of tasks, preparing excellent quality coffees, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. A passion for food and coffee is essential, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards Operate coffee machines and prepare various coffee drinks, ensuring high-quality presentation Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering queries Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks while maintaining quality service

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is highly desirable, particularly barista experience Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Experience in food preparation is an advantage Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently
