Overview

You must have at least one year of specialty coffee experience to apply for this role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista at Gaard, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages

and

food items from the kitchen space (Sandiwches/Wraps/Etc.).

Your ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organised workspace will contribute to the overall success of our cafe.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including equipment, utensils, and work areas Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the cafe

Skills

Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience in food preparation is advantageous, ensuring quality standards are met Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition to help create a positive customer experience

Pay: 12.22-13.22 per hour
