Catering Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista/ Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our current front of house team, ensuring that all aspects of the front of house service runs smoothly and has a 'can do' attitude to the preparation and service of great coffee. Training will be provided with our Head Barista. This position requires a strong commitment and excellent time management skills, as well as the ability to work in all areas of the restaurant with other team members to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of all hot and cold beverages Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times. Set up and close down catering equipment at the beginning and end of a shift and ensuring a clean and organised workspace. Support the serving of food and beverages throughout the day providing excellent customer service. Help with cleaning duties including washing dishes, clearing tables and tidying up the restaurant area. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of services and address any issues that may arise during service,

Experience

Previous experience in a catering or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is required; relevant training will be provided. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory effectively. A willingness to help others and work as part of a team is crucial for success in this role.
