Job Summary



only suitable for candidates who are available any day of the week and candidates start as early as 7 am on some shifts and finish as late as 9 am. Must be happy and able to pot wash to high standards and highest efficiency. Must live within Norwich.

The position requires work in both a high intensity kitchen and interaction with customers including preparing professional coffee beverages. The successful candidate must be very comfortable to multitask and work efficiently both in preparing multiple orders and dealing with customers in a friendly manner. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils, kitchen, toilets and shop floor. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Supervise junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment. Assist in training new employees on food preparation techniques and customer service standards. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy.

Duties



Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including equipment and utensils. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions and operate the till, applying basic maths skills for accurate billing. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a barista or customer service role is advantageous but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing change accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred to ensure compliance with health regulations. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
