Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will also play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the cafe.

Duties

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the cafe. Participate in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and appealing. Uphold high standards of customer service, creating a friendly environment for all guests.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels. A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is essential.
