Job Overview

As a Barista and Cook, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items such as breakfasts, toasties, quiches and salads . You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service, contributing to their overall experience in our cafe. This position requires a blend of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including equipment and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

Skills

Strong ability to help customers with their orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and commitment to food safety practices. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. A friendly disposition with strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.

Pay: 12.21-13.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week
