Job Description

We are looking for a welcoming, reliable and enthusiastic barista/kitchen assistant to join our friendly, busy team. We are a family run coffee shop based in a historic mansion house on the grounds of a beautiful park

You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality coffee and food.

This is the perfect role for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working as part of a friendly team, and takes pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming environment.

The contract will be a zero hours casual contract. Weekend work only.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks, including espresso-based coffees and teas. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring every guest feels valued and welcomed. Assist with food preparation Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, kitchen, and service areas in line with hygiene and safety standards. Operate the till system, handle cash, and process card payments accurately. Restock supplies and assist with inventory checks. Work efficiently as part of a team to keep up with high customer demand during busy periods. Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar fast-paced hospitality role. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively. Attention to detail and pride in delivering consistently high standards.

Desirable:

Basic food hygiene or barista training certification.
Pay: 7.55-12.50 per hour
