Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and customer-focused

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for coffee and food service, with a strong commitment to high standards. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing beverages, assisting with basic kitchen duties, maintaining cleanliness across all areas, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages in line with standard recipes and presentation standards. Assist with

basic kitchen duties

, including food preparation, plating, and restocking where required. Maintain

excellent cleanliness and organisation

across the coffee station, kitchen areas, equipment, and customer spaces. Carry out

cleaning tasks in the kitchen

, including surfaces, equipment, fridges, and food preparation areas. Ensure all

food safety and hygiene standards

are followed at all times. Greet customers warmly, take orders confidently, and provide recommendations when required. Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Work collaboratively with both front-of-house and kitchen team members to ensure smooth service. Take responsibility for your designated area and uphold company standards at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe, coffee shop, or food service environment is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and customer service skills. Basic maths skills for handling payments and orders. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices is an advantage. Willingness to assist in both front-of-house and kitchen areas as required. A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic. Passion for coffee, food, and hospitality.
