Applicants must be 18+, available to work in both Dundee and Newport-on-Tay a minimum of 2 days Monday to Friday including weekends. Shift patterns are 8:00am - 4:15pm.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Barista/Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, making delicious beverages and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management, confident, positive attitude, high level of cleanliness and be able to reliably commute to Dundee and Newport-on-Tay on occasion.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales area, ensuring all products are displayed attractively. Process customer transactions accurately using the till system. Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and monitoring expiry dates. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, seeking to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is a plus. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing change accurately. Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work confidently alone. Full driving license and access to own vehicle
